Leaders and line managers have the biggest impact on an individuals wellbeing at work. Knowing that the style and tone of communication your leaders and line managers have, has a direct correlation to employee happiness and therefore to productivity and your bottom line, it makes sense to ensure that where they may be brilliant in their role for the business, we give them the support to be brilliant people managers too.
Research also tells us that 82% of leaders and line managers* do not feel confident in their people skills and/or have not had any training in this area. Another recent survey found that 42%* of people would turn down a promotion if it included people management responsibilities and if we take that one step further, research by people analytics company, Visier* found 43% of UK employees have resigned from a job because of a bad manager and more than half of those actively seeking a new job at the time of the research (53%) were looking to switch roles due to their current manager. A good reminder of the importance of developing a team of confident coaches that can engage, develop and lead their teams to deliver growth for the business and the individual.
Coaching can be done in small groups, 1-2-1 or a blend of both depending on the needs of your team and also their learning styles.

Coaching programmes offer ongoing support as your leaders and line managers put the tools and techniques they learn into practice, giving them a space to reflect on what's working, where they need further support and where their skills and knowledge gaps may lay now or in the future as their roles evolve. The goal is to transition them from accidental and reluctant managers to confident coaches for their team and the business.
